Terms and conditions
Version 1.0 · Effective 4 October 2026
1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of Refurbr Network, run by Refurbr Ltd (REFURBR LTD, a private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 16800898, registered office Woodland Lodge, Dunston Business Village, Stafford Road, Penkridge, Staffordshire, ST18 9AB, United Kingdom; VAT number GB 504 9889 53; main website www.refurbr.co.uk) ("we", "us"). Refurbr Network is available at network.refurbr.co.uk. "You" means the business that holds the account. By creating an account, accepting an invitation to a team, or buying a membership, you agree to these terms on behalf of that business. Our Privacy policy explains how we use personal data. Paid and service-only members also sign the Member agreement as part of verification, which forms part of these terms.
2. Who can join
Refurbr Network is for businesses that trade, refurbish, recover or service devices, or supply that trade. It isn't for consumers, and you confirm you are using it for the purposes of your business. You must be authorised to act for the business. The account is the business; the primary contact is its main login, and up to three team members can have their own logins. You must keep login details secure and are responsible for everything done through your account.
3. Membership tiers
| Tier | What you can do | Checks |
|---|---|---|
| Free account | Browse listings with prices; enquire and make offers through the Refurbr team; post wanted requests, which we approve before they go live; conversations with the Refurbr team. Company names aren't shown. | Email verification |
| Paid membership | Everything in Free, plus: list batches, see company names, deal and hold conversations directly, advertise services and supplier listings, team logins. | Full vetting: company details, company registration certificate, VAT certificate if VAT registered, and the Member agreement |
| Service-only membership | Advertise services and supplier listings, direct conversations about your own listings, post wanted requests, and free-level access to stock. | Full vetting, as for paid |
We may add, change or withdraw features from time to time. If a change materially reduces what a paid tier includes, we'll tell you in advance and you may cancel and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused part of any period you have paid for.
4. Fees and billing
- Paid membership is £59 a month or £590 a year; service-only is £19 a month or £190 a year. Featuring a listing for 7 days is £5. Prices exclude VAT, which is added at the applicable rate. These are introductory prices and may change. We'll give you at least 30 days' notice by email of any price change, which applies from your next renewal after the notice period ends.
- Refurbr customers who link their Refurbr account receive the agreed discount, and membership is billed as an add-on on their Refurbr invoice under their existing Refurbr billing arrangements. If the linked Refurbr account ends, we'll give at least 30 days' notice before moving the membership to card billing at the standard price or ending it.
- Other members pay by card through Stripe. Memberships renew automatically at the end of each monthly or annual period until cancelled. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your card at each renewal.
- If a card payment fails, we'll email your primary contact and retry the payment over about 14 days. Your listings stay live in the meantime. If payment still can't be taken, your membership ends, your account moves to a free account, and your listings are hidden (not deleted) until you subscribe again.
- Cancellation: the primary contact can cancel a card membership at any time from the Membership page in the portal. Your membership continues until the end of the period you have paid for and then won't renew. Refurbr customers billed on their Refurbr invoice can cancel by emailing hello@refurbr.co.uk, and the add-on is removed from their next invoice.
- Refunds: fees are not refundable for part-used periods, and featuring fees are not refundable once a listing has been featured, except where these terms say otherwise or the law requires it. If we close your account when you haven't broken these terms, we'll refund a pro-rata share of any fees you have paid in advance.
5. Refurbr Network is a referral platform
We introduce businesses to each other. We are not a party to any sale, we don't buy or sell goods or services, and we take no payment for them. Buyers and sellers agree terms and complete sales directly with each other. We don't inspect, test, grade or certify any device or service, and we don't guarantee that any member will complete a deal.
6. Offers and order summaries
- Offers and counter-offers are a way to agree terms. An offer isn't binding.
- When an offer is accepted and both businesses confirm, we produce an order summary. It is a summary of the terms agreed on Refurbr Network. The seller's own terms of sale apply to the order. The seller raises the order and pro-forma invoice directly with the buyer.
- When an offer is accepted and confirmed, other open offers on that batch may be declined automatically.
- An order summary that isn't confirmed by both businesses within 5 working days lapses.
7. Data-safe status, tool badges and accreditations
- Data-safe status is the seller's declaration that all units have been data-sanitised and that erasure certificates are available on request. Stock that isn't data-safe can still be listed. For that stock, the appropriate paperwork is a matter between buyer and seller, and Refurbr isn't liable for it.
- Tool badges (for example Blancco, Phonecheck, Blackbelt, Aiken) come either from the seller's Refurbr integration or from the seller's declaration plus a vendor-confirmed account. A badge means every unit in the batch went through that tool.
- Accreditations on service listings are shown only after we've checked the certificate. We track expiry, and an accreditation is removed when its certificate lapses.
- Our checks are limited to what's described here. Badges, accreditations and Verified Business status are not a guarantee of any member's goods, services or conduct, and you should carry out your own checks before dealing.
8. Listings and conduct
Listings, messages and forum posts must be accurate and not misleading (including quantity, grade, tested status, stock availability, data-safe status and price). You must not:
- list or deal in stolen, blacklisted, counterfeit or illegally obtained goods;
- misdescribe goods or services, or make false declarations or badge claims;
- harvest other members' contact details, or use them for anything other than the deal in hand;
- send spam or unsolicited marketing through the network;
- try to get around the tier rules (for example, sharing company names or contact details with free accounts to bypass brokering);
- post anything abusive, defamatory, infringing or unlawful, or anything containing malware;
- scrape, copy or resell data from the network, or interfere with its security or operation;
- break any law, including sanctions, data protection and WEEE rules.
Free accounts' wanted posts are reviewed before they go live. Messages between free accounts and other members are relayed by the Refurbr team, who read them and may edit out contact details or hold them back. Paid members can also choose to have incoming messages checked by the Refurbr team first.
9. Moderation, suspension and termination
We may review, edit, hide or remove content, and suspend or close accounts, if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken, a listing is inaccurate or unlawful, or it's needed to protect members or the network. We'll tell you why where we can. While an account is suspended you can sign in, but its listings are hidden and it can't list, post or trade. A banned account can't sign in, its listings are hidden, and its open offers and unconfirmed orders are closed. Suspension or banning doesn't by itself cancel a card membership.
You can close your account at any time. The primary contact closes it from Settings in the portal, after handing over or removing any other team members. Closing an account cancels any card membership immediately, without a refund for the current period, and permanently deletes the business account, its listings, conversations, offers, order summaries and reported sales. Records you share with other members are deleted for them too, so keep your own copies of anything you need. Team members can delete their own login in the same place.
10. Your content and our intellectual property
You keep ownership of the content you post. You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, copy and use it to run and promote Refurbr Network while it's on the network. The licence ends when the content is removed, except for copies held in backups until they are overwritten and messages already delivered to other members. You confirm you have the right to post the content and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights. The Refurbr Network name, design and software belong to us or our licensors, and you may not copy or use them except to use the network.
11. Availability
We aim to keep Refurbr Network available and secure, but we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may suspend access for maintenance, security or reasons outside our control.
12. Liability
We provide the network "as is". We aren't responsible for the goods, services, conduct, payments or declarations of other members, or for any sale between members. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that can't be limited or excluded by law. Subject to that:
- we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data or anticipated savings; and
- our total liability to you arising out of or in connection with these terms or the network, in any 12-month period, is limited to the greater of £100 and the fees you paid us in that period.
13. Changes and notices
We may update these terms. We'll give members at least 30 days' notice by email of material changes, unless a change is needed sooner for legal or security reasons. If you don't agree to a change, you can close your account before it takes effect; continuing to use the network after that means you accept it. Notices to you go to your primary contact's email; notices to us go to hello@refurbr.co.uk or by post to our registered office.
14. General
These terms, the Member agreement where it applies, and any documents they refer to are the whole agreement between you and us about the network. You may not transfer your account or these terms without our consent. We may transfer them to another business that takes over the network, and will tell you if we do. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. A delay in enforcing any right is not a waiver of it. No one other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
